Foundation Program โ€” powered by KelliWorks

You hit Champagne Creator status. ๐Ÿพ

First, congrats โ€” 10K/month isn't luck, it's four hours a day of showing up. Now let's make sure the money side of your business is as solid as your content.

This is the same Foundation walkthrough Luc has every Champagne and Hybrid Creator go through. Five short stops, one form per stop, and you're set up the right way โ€” LLC, bank, card, books, and taxes. Nothing to figure out on your own.
Takes about 12 minutes total. You can stop anytime and pick back up โ€” nothing is lost. If you'd rather just talk it through with a real person, there's a "talk to someone" option at the end.
"Whoever is faithful in little is faithful also in much." โ€” Luke 16:10

Not sure / think so

Open Your LLC

โ–ถ
3 min ยท "Why I tell every creator to do this in week one"
โ€” Luc, CreatorForge

Right now the money coming in is probably going straight to your personal account. That's the fastest way to overpay the IRS and the fastest way to get audited if a bank or the government ever looks closely at what's "you" versus what's "the business."

An LLC costs a few hundred dollars and takes about two days once we have your info. It's the line between your personal life and everything you're building.

Kelli's team handles the filing โ€” you just tell us the business name and state, and it's done. No lawyer, no guessing.

Open a Business Bank Account

โ–ถ
2 min ยท "The single biggest bookkeeping mistake creators make"
โ€” Luc, CreatorForge

Once the LLC exists, open a bank account in the business name and move every dollar of Shop income through it. Nothing personal touches this account โ€” not your Starbucks, not your rent.

Why it matters: at tax time, your bookkeeper reads this account like a book. Mixed accounts mean guessing, and guessing means either overpaying the IRS or missing write-offs you earned.

We can introduce you directly to a community bank we work with โ€” small enough that a real person picks up the phone.

Get a Business Credit Card

โ–ถ
2 min ยท "The card I personally use โ€” and why the fee pays for itself"
โ€” Luc, CreatorForge

Think of every legitimate business expense the same way you think about commission. If you're fighting for a 1-2% commission bump on a product, but you're missing 15% of your spend in write-offs because there's no paper trail โ€” that write-off is worth more than the commission fight.

A dedicated business card creates that paper trail automatically, and the right card's perks (points, insurance, cash back) often cover its own annual fee.

Luc's pick: Amex Business Gold/Platinum. If you'd rather build credit first, we also work with a credit repair partner โ€” no judgment, just a plan.

Bookkeeping & Taxes

โ–ถ
4 min ยท "What actually happens to your 10K/month at tax time"
โ€” Luc, CreatorForge

This is the one almost everyone underestimates. $10K/month feels like freedom โ€” until April, when a business with no bookkeeping owes far more than it should have.

Kelli's team sets your books up on QuickBooks, categorizes everything monthly, and builds your quarterly tax strategy so there's no scramble and no surprise bill. This is the foundation the other four exist to protect.

If it's not the right time financially, tell us โ€” we'll find a lighter starting structure instead of a hard no.

Put Your Profit to Work

โ–ถ
3 min ยท "What to do with the money once it's actually yours"
โ€” Luc, CreatorForge

Once the first four are handled, the real question shows up: "I have money sitting in an account and I don't know what to do with it." That's a good problem โ€” and it's the one this last stop is for.

This isn't a hard sell. It's a short conversation about paying down debt, building reserves, and โ€” when you're ready โ€” simple, low-drama investing options.
